BANTAY ARCADE: A Dream Come True
At long last, the people of Bantay is provided with a classy mall-type shopping arcade of their own. After quite a while of waiting, Bantay Arcade is now open to shoppers. Another landmark of the Parilla Administration, this P 67.5 million, two-level, 2,337 square meter building is conveniently situated at the sixth Poblacion Barangay of the town just a few meters from the national road.
Subdivided into 96 units of stalls, the arcade houses a wide array of drygoods outlets, boutiques, computer shops, school supplies, salons, drug stores and food courts all strategically arranged for the shoppers’ convenience. Manned by fairly courteous and approachable personnel, equipped with an able power generator, sufficient water supply and clean comfort facilities, this is a truly public friendly place to shop. Having the public bus terminal just at its east side is an added convenience for travelers bound both to south and north.
Mayor Samuel C. Parilla, the man behind it says the arcade is one of his fulfilled dreams for the people of Bantay, a manifestation of his administration’s determination to deliver upmost basic services to its constituents. This will not only cater an avenue for business opportunities but also provides the people job openings.
The next step would be to improve the already existing wet market located at the north of the arcade.
